an old story new way…ants & grasshopper
Read the following Story and One Word that can Explain the Whole
Story…
The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer
long building his house and laying up supplies for the
winter.
The grasshopper thinks the ant’s a fool and laughs &
dances & plays the summer away.
Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed. The
grasshopper has no food or shelter so he dies out in
the cold.
MODERN VERSION…
The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer
long, building his house and laying up supplies for
the winter.
The grasshopper thinks the ant’s a fool and laughs &
dances & plays the summer away.
Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press
conference and demands to know why the ant should be
allowed to be warm and well fed while others are cold
and starving.
BBC, CNN, EURO-NEWS, NDTV, FOX NEWS show up to provide
pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to a video
of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled
with food.
The World is stunned by the sharp contrast. How can
this be that this poor grasshopper is allowed to
suffer so?
Arundhati Roy stages a demonstration in front of the
ant’s house.
Amnesty International and Koffi Annan criticizes the
Government for not upholding the fundamental rights of
the grasshopper.
The Internet is flooded with online petitions seeking
support to thegrasshopper.
Opposition MP’s stage a walkout.
Left parties call for “Bharat Bandh” in West Bengal
and Kerala demanding a Judicial Enquiry.
Finally, the Judicial Committee drafts the Prevention
of Terrorism Against Grasshoppers Act [POTAGA]“, with
effect from the beginning of the winter.
The ant is fined for failing to comply with POTAGA
and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes,
his home is confiscated by the Bush Government and
handed over to the grasshopper in a ceremony covered
by BBC,CNN, AAJ TAK and NDTV.
Arundhati Roy calls it “a triumph of justice”.
Koffi Annan invites the grasshopper to address the UN
General Assembly…
Got The Answer…???
YES… You Got It Right…
Some call it RESERVATION n Some call it QUOTA!

Everyone says so..
Its been long I paid a visit to mespacehere. In particular nothing to write bout. Just wanted to pen down but then so many things to put together. With work at University n Infineon, days seem to just come n go.
Blogsphere is getting on me. My liking for weBLOGs has taken a change of course lately, atleast my own one I would say. Anytime I can stand back from what m doing and say my experience in my space. I really don’t know all that I write makes any sense but I do have a board for all the thoughts inside my head. I m no good writer but m trying to develop my own voice and enjoy doing that. Don’t have to make use of damn fine voice and polish up a smidge here n there making it more impressive for others to read. That being said, glad I m not writing for anyone out there. But I do peep at my visitors count.
This weekend had been a bit crazy. Saturday left us having a barbeque in the cold with just two candles to light our extremely delayed evening. ‘Well begun is half done‘ …we did fit very well to it except for our 3 hrs late feat. Sunday took me to begin my swimming lessons …thanks to them I won’t regret for my water devours anymore. I love long weekends though I can’t erase the fact that I waste them to my best. Alteast I m no griper with complaints. This is something I wished to write on a while ago. Complaints well on everything. Why is it always this way? Why does everyone complain? All these complaints are so uneventful. Why do they take on some much? I have no good reason to justify they are wrong or they shouldn’t do so but it is always frustrating to hear them. If so, they want to be listened or are expecting some kind of consolation then how much leverage are they gaining to solve their problems from all this?
I swear they can do lot better than the whole worth of complaints. I guess the phenomena is pretty old and just goes on. My mom complains I m old enough to marry [all along I was your ammu kutti, when did I grow up so old], appa complains I don’t eat [only I know how the extra pounds I m gaining make all my favourite jeans so ugly
], my friends complain they don’t have time [if they are short of wasting them], they are spending too much [grow up people], they aren’t productive [how do u define growth]. The whole exercise seems ridiculous. Sometimes I jus hate and I don’t fully understand why. Not that I accomplish a lot, now by complaining …well even I m here casting an eerie of my complaints.
For now, all I m looking to is the weekend. Going for a vacation and will be away from computers for 2 days. For some reason I m more anxious than normal. I know I may be setting myself to be disappointed should the weather be bad.
